Answer #2:
Read about lists here:
<http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html>

Especially:
3.2 How to change the indenting or numbering of your headings

Questions #1:

I do medical transcription using an MS word-type program called Extext. I
would like to find out if there is a way to create jump/stop codes within a
Macro/Expander/Template or just a regular document using certain characters
and function keys. For example:

The patient is a **-year-old male, who came into the ER with.............

I would like to be able to jump to the spot with the asterisks . I used
another program that used @@ and then control-J to jump to the @@ codes, but
I do not know if MS Word 2003 has this sort of function. Additionally, the
EXtext program utilizes the control-J feature to access the patient
demographics screen, so another command would be needed to use for jump/stop
codes.

Questions #2:

How do I align my numbered lists properly.

For Example: If I have created a number list here is how I want it to appear:
MEDICATIONS:
1. Tylenol
2. Ibuprofen.
3. XXXXXXX.

However, when I use the number function on MS Word 2003, this is how it
appears:
MEDICATIONS:
1. Tylenol.
2. Ibuprofen.
3. XXXXXXX.

How do I keep it from pushing the text over to the right under my heading?
This happens with bullets as well. thanks glogrrl
