Thank you so much, Herb. I have turned off all other status bar options, and
there is no Language icon displaying on my status bar, even though it is
selected in the list of Status Bar Options. Is there any other way to get to
the language indicator options in Word 2007? Thanks!

With Language selected in the list of Status Bar tools, your language should.
appear on the status bar. Here, the language tool says "English (United
States)". Do you not have that? If not, then perhaps there are too many
status bar option selected to display the language tool. Try right-clicking
the status bar and turning off some options you're less likely to need to
see if your language appears.

Hi Herb,
Thank you so much for replying to my post. I am using Word 2007, I have
"Language" selected in my status bar options, but there is no icon
appearing
on the status bar. When i turn it off, nothing changes on the status bar,
when I turn the option on, nothing appears on the status bar. Any
suggestions
on that one? I'm anxious to test your solution to my problem.
Thanks, again!!

"Do not check spelling..." is a language formatting attribute. This kind
of
thing often happens when text is pasted from another document or from an
internet browser. Select the text, and choose Tools - Language - Set
Language. Remove the check next to "Do not check spelling or grammar".
(You
can also get to this dialog by double-clicking the language indicator in
Word's status bar).
To get this dialog in Word 2007, if you see the language indicator in the
status bar, click it. If the language indicator isn't displayed,
right-click
the status bar, and click Language. The language indicator should now
show
up.

Hello,
I have a user who's document is not catching all the mispelled words. I
copied some of the words to a new document and ran the spell checker -
received this message:
"The spelling and grammar check is complete. Text marked with "Do not
check
spelling or grammar" was skipped."
This is the first time I've seen this message. Can someone tell me how
this
option got applied, and how it can be turned off (if it can)?
Thanks so much!
