With Office 2000, you'd have the proofing tools for
English, French and Spanish. Any other languages, you'd
have to get the Proofing Tool CD, and that's not being
manufactured any more, although you might find it somewhere
like eBay.
Once the proofing tools for the language you want to use
have been installed, and activated (START/Program
Files/Microsoft Office Tools/Microsoft Office Language
Settings), all you need to do is
- select the text in Word which should be checked in a
different language
- go to Tools/Language/Set language
- select the language
Note that you can do the above even if the languages are
not installed or activated. The spell check will simply
skip words formatted in an unactivated language.
