Re: How to make Word2003 print like Word97 did?

Thank you ALL!!! This group has got good people on it.

The problem was caused by a bit of bleeping stupidity combined with
erroneous assumptions. Embarrassingly, I DID NOT have the two fonts
mentioned installed either on the Win98 running Office 2003 or on the
WinXP running Office2003. I was misled, because the font always was
listed at the top of the document no matter where I was viewing it.
So I 'assumed' it was installed. WRONG! The subtle shifts, I can
live with. Wrong letters and loss of pagination weren't acceptible.

All has been fixed by installing the fonts. After I installed, the
fonts onto the Laptop running Word2000 on Win98SE; the document using
eurostile shows up on 1 page as it should, and the EuroRoman document
now shows the letters in English, not Greek.

Thanks for the 'heads up' to watch out if I were to micro manage the
page layout and look - it could be all for nothing.

Especially thank you for the AllFontz.com site.

Now I have a new problem. I followed Suzanne's suggestion from
another thread [possibly not followed correctly], and installed only
Word97 into a different Program File/Microsoft Office 97. I had to
modify the autoexc.bat manually to get the path correct. But, after
all done I can indeed run either Word2000 [from Office 2003], or run
Word 97 from Office 97. But, the problem now is, the click to open
menus isn't right. I preferentially want Word2000 to open *.doc, but
Word97 is hogging the attention. I miss being able to simply double
click and have Word2000 open things. MS did not 'leave' the last
application used as the next application used and I couldn't find any
folder options to allow me to change to opening with either program.
I'm extremely reluctant to uninstall Word97 for fear of deleting part
of Word2000. not a font questiong, though. sorry.

Have a Happy and prosperous New Year ALL
Robert
