Re: Envelopes are printing red instead of black?

Insanely, sometimes the color cartridge doesn't print properly when the
black cartridge is out of ink and vice versa. Have you tried replacing both?

I changed ink cartridges and my documents still print in black and the
envelopes print in red ?

For reasons unknown, some inkjet printers use composite black (made up
of
the colors in the color cartridge) instead of true black (from the black
cartridge) for envelopes and other smaller paper sizes. When your
"black"
starts coming out red (or blue or green), it's usually a sign that the
balance of inks in the color cartridge is no longer even, and you will
soon
need to replace it.

When I print envelope addresses, they print in red ink instead of
black
even
though the document prints in black. I have changed the envelope font
color
to black by default and it still prints red.
