There are two ways, which I suspect you are trying to combine. Here is one
way (the hard way):
1. Go to Insert | Field.
2. Select the EQ field.
3. Click Field Codes. This will display a box with EQ in it.
4. Click Options... This will display the Options dialog, with a single tab,
Switches.
5. Select the \O() switch and click Add to Field.
6. This will add \O() to EQ.
7. Between the parentheses, type 0,/ (zero, comma, slash).
8. Click OK twice.
9. You'll now have the field in your document, but it will have an extra
space. Press Alt+F9 to display the field code, which will look like this:
{ EQ \O(0,/) }
10. Delete the space between the closing parenthesis and the closing field
delimiter, then press Alt+F9 to toggle the display again and F9 to update
the field.
This is the easy way:
1. In your document where you want the slashed zero, type EQ \O(0,/).
2. Select the text you just typed and press Ctrl+F9 to turn it into a field.
3. Delete the last space.
4. Press Alt+F9 to toggle the display.
Regardless of how you have created the slashed zero, select it and save it
as an AutoText entry.
