    I wish I could offer any hope. As far as I can tell, Microsoft insists it's
    HP's problem, and HP says it's Microsoft's. I've been escalating this (with
    MS) since September 2002, and what I've encountered is pretty much apathy
    and buck passing. I think MS has a point, though. Although there have been a
    *very* few scattered reports of similar problems with Lexmarks and other
    brands, we have been unable to collect information on any such cases, which
    is bound to leave MS with the conviction that it's an HP issue.
