Printing Problem - Page Gets Cut Off

Several people in our office have noticed that Word
occasionally will blank out the lower 20% of the sheets
when printing. Though the document may contain text,
pictures, etc to the bottom of the page, the last 3" or so
does not print. If one previews the document before
printing, this anomaly shows up, but often we don't
preview because we may have made minor changes that didn't
require a preview. We haven't been able to determine if
there is a pattern to this occurrence and have no idea how
to fix it other than to close the document, exit Word
entirely and reenter and open the document, though this is
only a temporary fix. Any ideas? Thanks.
