As far as we know, the security patch did break the fix for that problem
that was included in the service pack. Normally the fixes in the article
“Page X of Y displays or prints as Page 1 of 1, Page 2 of 2 etc.” at:
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/PageXofY.htm
fix this problem, but in your situation that does not appear to be the case.
Have you tried printing the Odd pages, then reversing the paper and printing
the Even pages
