bottom line of page border wont print

In microsoft word 2003 the bottom line of a page border wont print, and in
print preview the bottom line doesn't show up. i realise that this problem is
something to do with margins and the printable area on the page. i have an
idea of how to change margins but what are the default margins for the
top/bottom, i have a hewlett packard printer (T45) this problem has been
occuring for some time with the bottom few cms being cut off document.
