Yes. If you open a document directly from an email (instead of using the
much safer and better "Save to disk" option) and don't immediately Save As
to a document folder, the copy you are working on is saved to a temp folder.
When you quit Word, it is deleted. This is just one reason why we recommend
using "Save to disk" instead of "Open it."
