All I can say is that it works OK here, at least in the case where you are
opening the Word document manually.
Are all the details absolutely the same as follows?
The key should be
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options
The value should be a DWORD value called SQLSecuirtyCheck and should have
value 0.

I have tried the registry fixes for SQlSecurityCheck that worked fine on
XP
/ 2003 but using the 12.0 key without success.
