Hmmm. Very odd. When the merge runs, it should remove all the
merge fields. So in the attachment (are the recipients
viewing it in the Print Layout view?!) you should be seeing
either the data or the field codes. I can't understand how
this would be happening.

1. Which version of Word and Outlook(?) are we dealing with

2. Is the data you're showing in the Header also in the main
body of the document?

3. Have you tried sending it to yourself? And if you open the
attachment in Word, in Print Layout and press Alt+F9 do you
see the field codes, still?

<<I have a merge written with some data in the header. All
appears well when I run the merge (Its an e-mail merge,
which sends the merged documents to differnt users as
attachments), and when the recipient gets the word
attacment and opens it, it looks fine.

But, when the recipient does a print preview, or tries to
print the document, all data in the header dissapears,
with just the merge coding showing. How can I fix this,
short of taking the data out of the header (which I really
don't want to do)?>>
