If your table had two columns Table-->Convert-->Table to text would allow
you to separate the text in col. A and col. B with a semicolon.
When you only have one column, converting just leaves you with the list you
provided. However, you can do a simple search and replace on every paragraph
mark. Place cursor at beginning of line one of (now converted) text and
then press ctrl-H. Replace ^p with ";[space]".
Voila. Of course, you can make a macro out of the search and replace.

Hi folks
I am using Word 2002.
I have the following in a simple table
Argentina
Brazil
China
Denmark
England
France
Greece
But now i want to turn it to text, running from left to right like the
following:
Argentina; Brazil; China; Denmark; England; France; Greece
Is there a way that i can automate this process (that means i don't
need to manually add ; to the end of each country name) as well as
changing the layout from a table to a string of text ???
Thanks.
