Insert Picture: Driving Me Nuts!


I'm trying to insert pics in a long Word 97 doc.

In some places, it works fine.

In other places, the same pic is placed *under* the text above the
insertion point. And if I insert it near the top of a page, it extends
above the top margins. The Float Over Text check box is always unchecked.

FYI, I'm using a custom template that I created for books.

Any help with this will be *greatly* appreciated. I'm stuck!
