The article at
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trackchanges/HowTrackChangesWorks.html
provides the magic combinations (which I can never remember) for copying
text with or without tracked changes.

I need to save a book with tracked changes as individual chapters. How
do I do this without losing the coloured marks? If I copy even a few
words and then paste them into a new document, the marks disappear. If
I turn on Highlight Changes in the new document, the whole text appears
as a change, but not the individual changes I made before copying and
pasting it.
I know I can delete all the text apart from the chapter I want to keep
and then save that as a separate document, but the whole thing runs to
50 chapters and more than 350 pages, and it will take me a long time to
do. I feel there must be a simpler solution.
The document has a page break at the end of each chapter, but no
section breaks and no master document/subdocuments.
I am using Word 2004 for Mac (OS 10.4.11).
Thank you.
