Joan,
Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to set color on a bar
tab (tried Word 2002, but don't recall an option to do
this in Word 2000 or 97, either). However you could try:
1. A table cell/column border, as you mentioned
2. A paragraph border through Format |Borders & Shading
3. A vertical line using the drawing toolbar
4. Setting the entire color of the page through printer
options (depends on the type of printer you have -- if
you want the entire page to print in a single color, font
and all, you may be able to manipulate that through
printer color settings)
Hope this helps,
Kim
