I need to set up a answer document for a test and need circles around all my
letters for muliple choice. The letters need to be centered inside the
circle and all need to be consistent in side. It will be displayed as such
and the correct answer filled in with pencil.
1. a b c d
The quickest way is to type the Unicode number of each symbol and then press
Alt+X. The Unicode numbers representing the circled lower case letters are
a = 24D0
b = 24D1
c = 24D2
d = 24D3
Another way is to open the Insert > Symbol dialog. In the dropdown at the bottom
right, choose Unicode. In the Font dropdown at the top left, choose either Arial
Unicode or MS Mincho. In the Subset dropdown at the top right, choose Enclosed
Alphanumerics. That will show you all the circled letters and numbers.
