Re: Default format for inserted pictures

OK, that's a different subject altogether:)

Word can't "automatically" paste anything other than what's on the Clipboard
at the time. A border is a formatting attribute that gets added to the
object afterward.

Assuming you always want the same type of border you could perhaps record or
write a macro to handle the formatting process for you & maybe even include
the pasting as the first step. Assign a toolbar button and/or keystroke to
the macro & use it rather than the regular paste command..

By "board" do you mean the Drawing Canvas?

If so, click the Office [pizza] Button then click the Word Options button.
Select Advanced from the left column, then in Editing Options section tick
the checkbox for "Automatically create drawing canvas...".

Note, however, that this only applies to *drawing objects* (such as
AutoShapes) & has nothing to do with image files (photographs).

Additional Note: *Pasting* of anything [other than a drawing canvas]
bypasses the drawing canvas mechanism in the first place.

I checked all the settings in Word 2007, I tried to create a new template
that had a picture inserted in it with a board. I event looked at Styles
but
I can't seem to set thsi as a default...

Any thoughts on this?
