Re: Problem printing jpg image into Word and Publisher

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

If that's the case it indicates that you are [most probably] dealing with an
image that has not been saved at a high enough resolution to print
effectively - regardless of how good it may appear on screen. Monitors
typically display @ 96 pixels per inch (or less) whereas decent printing
requires *at least* 200-300 ppi. If you can, open the JPEG in Photoshop or
comparable graphics program & see what the resolution is... My guess without
seeing the image would be 72 ppi.

I would also suggest having the image recreated as a higher res image file
& saved in a more appropriate format than JPEG. JPEG is a "lossy" format,
which is why it renders small file sizes... fine for many purposes
(including print) but should only be used for the *final* version of the
image... Each time a JPEG is edited/saved it loses content, so even if it
started out as printable the image has deteriorated each time it's been
saved. For print stay with PNG for most logos, TIFF or EPS for photos or
artwork with transitional tones (like gradients).

While I appreciate your information, I am still experiencing the same problem
using your method. I tried Insert > Picture > From File into both a MS
Publisher document, and an MS Word document and still ended up with the same
incomplete graphic and no text...Any other tricks up your sleeve?
