You may want to repost in a Mac-specific NG
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/community/community.aspx?pid=newsgroups, but in
Windows JPEG and TIFF pictures are usually displayed eventually, but
sometimes it takes time to create thumbnails for newly inserted ones
(especially TIFFs). EPS graphics are displayed only if they have a preview,
and then the colors seem usually to be reversed.
