How do I get Word to return to same folder when inserting?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I insert photos from the same folder into a report. Each time I use key
command to insert a new photo it goes to the office 12 folder instead of the
folder with the photos. It will not remember the last folder accessed.
