Most printer drivers are poor when it comes to working with custom page
sizes and tend to default to a standard size - as here.
The simplest solution is to accept the larger page size in Page setup and
adjust the margins so that it prints in the correct place on the smaller
paper.

I have a document that always needs to print to a 4.25" x 12" sheet.
When I switched from Word 2003 to Word 2007, the document would not
print properly. The printer seems to default back to a 8.5" width
size so the document would print on the 4.25" width sheet only if the
sheet is centered in the feed tray. The Word 2007 print preview
shows the document as 4.25x12 but the printer shows it as 8.5x14.
If I try to change the setting at the printer preview I get the
message "Certain settings like paper size can't be changed here. Go
back to printing application to reformat the document if you want to
change them."
This did not occur in Word 2003 and I know the printer driver allows
custom page sizes. I would like to feed the sheets in the normal
manner. My printer is a HP PSC 2110xi All-in-one and I am using
Window XP. Any help???
