Re: Error when attempting to save Word doc as pdf.

No, it simply says "This file could not be found". It is a small pop-up and
the title bar says "Microsoft Office Word" There is no other information.

The PDF addin works in both Word 2007 generations.

Does the error message report which 'file cannot be found'. What is the
exact wording?

Thanks for your response.

With a document open (and already saved in .docx, I select "Save As"
and then the option to save in "PDF or XPS" format. I then select the
pdf format and select "publish". An error window pops up reporting
"This file could not be found". I have tried saving in the XPS
format and it works.

What exactly do you mean by "publish a doc in pdf"? What steps did

I have MS Word 2007 with SP1 and SP2. Before I updated to SP2, I
downloaded the pdf converter but it would not work. When I
attempted to publish a doc in
pdf, I recevied the error message "This file could not be found".
After I updated with SP2 I thought this problem would resolve, but
it has not. Since
I don't want to buy another help session with MS, can anyone
suggest what might be wrong and how to fix it?

My understanding is that MS and Adobe have made friends and that
this conversion ability is now supposed to be built into Word and
does not depend
on any Adobe products being present.
