Mary's advice is the most practical, but in order to open Word 2007
documents and display Word 2007 fonts, you will need the compatibility
pack - http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101686761033.aspx

Older computer with Works 6 plus Word 2002. Today received files
that when tried to open got a popup saying it was created with a
later ver. of Word and would need a "convertor" to read. Checked the
Office DL site, but noticed there were several choices - couple very
large - 4 and 2 hrs for DL. On dialup that will be magnified.
Would very much appreciate if someone could offer help and advice as
to best course.
Thanks in advance
