Those are great ideas. Thanks! I will definitely go that direction. Would I
be able to use either of those suggestions to prevent the fields from being
blank?

Don't use FILLIN fields for this sort of application. Use form fields

I am working on creating a form for my work that is widely used by
others in
the company. For different lines on the form, I go to "Insert", then
to "Fields". From there I click "fill-in". That brings up a box in
the finished
form that instructs the user to fill in that particular information.
I am doing that for 10 or so lines on the form. So far, here are the
problems I am
facing with that:
First, for example one of the lines has to have a six digit number
in the field. I want to prevent the user from mistyping and , say,
putting only 5 digits in. If they put in anything other than 6
digits, can it flag them or
prevent them from continuing until they have the correct
information? I also
have other fields such as dates and city, state that I want to have
formatted
for the information the users put in.
Second, I want to prevent people from leaving the fields blank. As
soon as the file opens, the windows pop up for them to put the
information in. What
happens if they skip a field? A problem I noticed is once the field
is skipped, there is no way to put the information in for that line,
since the
window does not pop up again.
