Please understand, I realize the importance of troubleshooting however I work
for attorneys who can be very impatient and going back and forth on their
machines is sometimes nearly impossible. This particular users issue was
resolved by a simple log off although I am still not sure what the total
issue was.
Thank you for your help.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProblemsStartingWord.htm The.
beginning of all troubleshooting in Word is to establish whether the problem
persists in Safe Mode (which suppresses Normal.dot, add-ins, and the
Registry). If you are not willing to take this basic diagnostic step, then
there is not much way we can help you. This is not an "experiment" but a
necessary step.

Honestly, I don't know because I did not try that. My user is not likely
to
allow me to "experiment" and since I can not duplicate the message any
where
else I really don't want to take him from his PC. Have you heard of it
and
if so what was the solution?
Thanks!

If the user holds Ctrl as he starts Word, thus forcing Safe mode, does
the
error message still occur?

I have a user who is getting the following error each time he open
Microsoft
Word 2003: The method or property is available only in Microsoft Office
Professional 2003. The interesting thing is that this message, while
it
says
Office Pro 2003, only occurs when the user attempts to open a Word
document.
The user says its been happening for a while and he has rebooted so I
am
not
quite sure and I am hoping someone could help.
Thanks!
