Did you find a solution?

Another thing that made me think it was my video driver - when playing
Solitaire (no other programs running except the standard startup stuff) I can
move a card from one stack to another. Once in a while, the card will then
appear in both positions - its original stack, and the new location. When I
click its image on the original stack, a new card appears and the game
continues. I can also minimize the Solitaire window, then restore it and it
looks like it should with no face-up cards on the original stack. Does this
happen to anybody else who has the Word scrolling problem?

Hello again,

We have a different system (HP laptops and desktops), all up to date as far
as video drives are concerned.

It's really too bad that no one at Microsoft can help us with this.

Our IT team have been scratching their heads over this one for a while, but
to no avail.

Users have unfortunately gotten used to switching views.

Let's hope Word 2007 does not have the same problem (I doubt it).

If I hear and find anything, you can be sure I'll gladly post it.

And, Alain, you're right: Help!!!!!!

Same problem. XP with SP2 then with SP3. I have a Sony laptop with Nvidia
GeForce Go 7400. I have maintained all updates for the video drivers and
for XP. I have also disabled hardware acceleration. Is this like your
system?

This problem has bugged me since I got this system, and nobody seems to know
the answer. The support people want to reformat my disk and start over -
however, I have a lot of customized software installed, and I don't look
forward to a couple of weeks to restore all of that, probably for nothing.

I think I speak for all of us in saying, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having the same problem if you mean the screen freezes as in you can't
keep scrolling in the same direction, only its only while scrolling up for
us. Quickly switching between print layout and normal layout seems to prevent
this. If you find the solution please update this blog!

Hello,

We are using Office XP, Word 2003.

This happens to several users: When working in a document, they use their
mouse scrolling wheel to go down the document. However, when doing this, it
sometimes causes the following (which is hard to describe): it looks like a
line is repeated several times, and the screen freezes. We thought it could
be a mouse problem, no. I renamed the Normal.dot. Nothing happened.

Does it mean something to anyone? Thanks!
