The best suggestion anyone can give you is to tell you NOT to use the
Microsoft interface. Use a newsreader instead. As for searching the
archives, use Google Groups. (You could also use Google Groups to access the
group but I prefer using Windows Mail, Live Mail, or Outlook Express.)

I have searched several times with the same text in the search for box and
sometimes I get items and sometimes I don't. Last night i was searching
for
"document with multiple documents with headers" and I received several
hits.
Since then I get no hits for this search. There was a thread about
creating
a procedures manual and the solution that worked for this person. I did
not
have time to study the thread, and now I can't find it. I have tried the
same search, I have tried to search "procedures manual", "manual",
"procedures" and can not find it. I ahve even resorted to paging through
the
group to find the thread.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to find this thread?
Does anyone have suggestions on a best practice for creating a procedures
manual. I would like to maintain individual procedures compiled into a
single manual because we have several people writing them. Any help would
be
greatly appreciated.
