Re: Copying a screen shot into a word document

Nathan -

Another option is to use the crop feature of Word. If you are using Word 2007, then you should be able to find the crop tool when you have the picture of your website selected in your document. See the Picture Tools, Format tab in the Sizing group.

If you are using Word 2003 and earlier, then make sure you have your picture toolbar turned on and you can select the crop tool.

Once you have the crop tool selected, then the sizing handles of the picture will turn into dark bars. Grab those bars and drag toward the area that you want remaining.

BTW - if you would like to try SnagIt, they do have a 30 day trial offer.

This may be a stupid question, but I can not figure out how to take a screen
shot of a website and insert it into a report I am doing in Word. I want to
show a comparison of two websites, so I am trying to copy the view and put it
into my word document can anyone tell me how to do this. If I try to cut and
paste I get some crazy thing that takes up the whole page. I just want to be
able to cpy the part of the web page that I need. Any help?
