Word is not a jack of all trades. These are not bugs but design limitations.
Word it is not a page layout application, so get over it! If you want DTP
functionality use DTP software!

Well, Word is designed to create long documents, but not with text
boxes. Text boxes are really intended only for very specific,
limited purposes. If you need text box connectivity, you should be
using page layout software and not word processing software. I have
created documents upwards of 500 pages in Word without a single text
box. --

This is ridiculous! Can anyone understand why everything in Word is
so totally half-baked? I mean, nothing really works in that program
once you exceed 2-page documents.

Well, at least I can save the money to upgrade to Office 2007 now. I
guess I'll check to see if OpenOffice can handle text boxes properly
without falling apart after a few links.
