OK. I just ran a test:convert.
From PDFMaker within Word: At the beginning of the conversion there is a
dialog box that says, “This document may take a substantial time to
PDFMaker can speed up the conversion by turning off tagging but the PDFfile
so created would not have accessibility features. Do you want PDFMaker toshould
turn off tagging for this document?”
If I say no (don't turn off tagging), the PDF exhibits the problems I
described in this thread.
If I say yes (turn off tagging), the PDF comes out just as it should, with
all links working.
I guess I should just say no as a matter of course. Right?
Thanks for your help,
Teresa

I have Adobe PDF > Change Conversion Settings > Add Bookmarks To Adobe
default.checked, but still cannot get links.
Any suggestions? Thanks very much.

clicking on the
page the index point to that page should be displayed and the

is possible in e.g. Adobe FrameMaker but I would like to use
