Re: Wrong language in grammar suggestions

If new, blank documents "behave," you could try this: Delete any section
breaks. Copy the whole document except for the final paragraph mark (first
press Ctrl+A, then Shift+Left arrow, and finally Ctrl+C) and paste into a
fresh document (press Ctrl+V).

Yes, the text is identified as English. It spell-checks OK and everything
works fine there. The choosen language is English.

I have saved the document as txt to get rid of all formating and pasted it
into a new fresh document. Didn't help.

No "detect language automatically" is turned on.

The only problem is the yellow pop-up notes. Nothing else is in German.

German:
If you, click on Alternative (Alternativ) and then Alternative one more
time, you get a long list of things you can check or want to skip. All is
in
English (strange as the program is in Swedish and if you use a Swedish
text
Swedish will also be the language for this screen), but on the top right
there are 3 or 4 dropdown boxes; these are in German.

I just went to another colleague to see how it was on his computer, and it
was the same. He also told me that when he wrote particularily bad
English,
sometimes a little yellow pop-up note that says "überarbeiten" comes up...
We
can't be the only company with this problem, as 3 out of 3 checked
computers
react the same. The last colleague I checked with was writing the document
himself and had started from scratch.

Are you saying that when you do choose the correct language, does spell
check still not work? Is English installed as a language (for a Swedish
version, it should be available by default)?

It's the YELLOW popup note with info about how I should write that's

German. Not the dialog box itself. The example sentences are in
English,
but
the explanations are in German. When I open the grammar/spell check
and
start
it in a document, sometimes one of the buttons changes to (something
like)
Explanation (I have the Swedish version so I am not sure what it
says
in
English). The yellow popup note that then appear is the one I am
having
problems with.

I have the Swedish version of Office 2002 installed. Today I
tried

check
grammar and spelling in an English document that I had written.
When
the
program had suggestions for how I could change my writing, it

came in
German!! I asked our IT-guy here at work to try to do the same
thing
(with
another document, also in English) and he got the same result
(same
version
of Office). When we try it with a Swedish document, all
explanations
and
suggestion comes in Swedish. How come German gets mixed in
this? I

even
speak German, and have definitely never installed that language
anywhere
in
my programs. It doesn't matter if we try a document we have
written
ourselves
or one that was sent to us from Italy. German is still the
language
for
suggestions and explanations.

Please help...
