....and if you really only use open, save, and print... why on earth use Word at all? WordPad and Notepad are a lot simpler, come with Windows, are use a lot less memory... and are essentially free. :-)

If you really only use "open-save- print! and close maybe!", just customize
the Quick Access toolbar (between the Microsoft Office button and the title
bar at the top of the screen), which already contains a Save button:
Click Customize Quick Access Toolbar (dash on top of a downward pointing
triangle) on the right end of the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) to display the
Quick Access Toolbar Customize menu; click Open to add it to the QAT; do the
same for Quick Print. If you really do not use Undo and Redo, you can remove
them from the QAT in this fashion.
The easiest way to close a document is to double-click the Microsoft Office
button (if it's the only document open, it will close Word as well); you can
also easily add it to the QAT.
If you really want to return to the Word 2003 interface, go to Patrick
Schmid's website and download a free, starter version of his extraordinarily
well-designed Ribbon Customizer that will add a Classic tab to the Ribbon
http://pschmid.net/office2007/ribboncustomizer/starter.php. Buy the
professional version for $29.99 and you can easily customize the Ribbon to
your heart's content.

The new word 2007 interface is driving me crazy, can someone please tell me
how to go back to word 2003 interface.
I read Microsoft's reason for changing the interface, apparently there are
1500 commands in Microsoft and people could'nt find them. The person who want
to know 1500 commands probably has no life!
I use three functions open-save- print! and close maybe!
Can someone please post a response to my dilemma!
Thanks
