Re: How do I get rid of the text box that appears in every new doc

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

If you're using Vista, it will likely be here:

D:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

....and you're looking for normal.dotm.

If you're not using Vista and it's not where Graham indicated, then check Office button > Word Options > Advanced > File locations... note the location of User templates.

By default it will be a hidden file in the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

Rename the normal template to oldnormal and Word will build a new
one.

text box, to no avail. Whenever I open a new word 2007 document
there is a itsy bitsy text box in the top left corner of the page.
Please help me figure out how to get rid of this so that I can use
word with no problems!!
