Right-Click it, select Format Picture - Layout, choose any appropriate
option *other than* In Line with Text. Assuming it is a picture you can make
the same choices on the Picture toolbar that shows up when a picture is
selected. I can't ermember Word 2000 exactly, but even if the wording is a
little different the process is essentially the same.

I'm running Word 2000. Where to I go to check if it is set for in-line
text?

Hi Hezzy,
What version of Word are you using and are all of the items set to a
'text wrapping' style other than 'inline with text'? Inline
items can't be grouped. They're seen as 'text' by Word.

Ok I hear ya. My problem is, I cannot group a text box, an arrow or
circle
and a picture together. >>
