Re: How can I retrieve a permanent deleted word document?

Hi JoAnn:

It's named "RecoverMyFiles", it costs $65.00 and it is extremely successful.
I recovered the entire content of a hard disk that had been re-partitioned.

You get it here: http://www.getdata.com/

However: if the file area on the disk has been overwritten since the file
was deleted, it's no longer there to be recovered. So the longer the system
runs before Recover My Files gets to it, the less chance there is of
success.

There is software that says it can restore some documents but I'm not sure
how successful it is and I assume it's not cheap. I guess you need to
determine just how critical that file was. And if it was *that* important,
you should have made a backup.
