Have you extracted the files to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\TextConv folder.
It is only when you have the file Works Text Converters in that folder that
right clicking on it with the mouse will result in the short cut menu
displaying the Merge item.

Hope this helps.

I have seen my question already asked and answered. I have also gone to
Graham Mayor's web site to try the File Converter download. I follow all
the
steps, but get stuck at merging the registry patches with my registry
(right
click the patch in Windows Explorer and select Merge). I'm not sure what
I'm
doing wrong. Can someone help me? This is really an emergency to me
because
I am looking for a job, and every recruiter and/or potential employer
wants
me to email them a resume in word format, not works; they can't open
works
documents. I have already paid the money to add Word to my programs, but
can't seem to figure out how to convert the files I already have. And the
amount of time I've spent on this (4 hrs), I could have already retyped
the
resume.
