Hi =?Utf-8?B?SmFuZXQgTQ==?=,
I embedded several excel spreadsheets in a word document and emailed the1. Are you sure the recipients have Excel installed on their machines?
document to someone else to review. When they opened the document, the
embedded spreadsheets cannot be accessed. There is no error message. When
double clicking on the spread***, nothing happens, the spread*** is
selected and the size can be changed, but they can't get inside the
spread*** to edit the contents. If they select the spread*** and hit
edit, object from the toolbar a corrupted file message comes up. Does anyone
have a suggestion?
2. Are the recipients able to embed Excel objects in documents on their
machines? Then close the documents, re-open them and edit such objects? (You
need to find out if the problem really is with the files you're sending, or
something in their configurations)
3. Are you all using the same version of Office? (Please tell us which version
that is, as well)
4. Have you tried first zipping the file before emailing it? Word documents are
notoriously problematic when sent by email.
