Thanks for your links. Fortunately my computer is decent and handles my 200
pages document without any problem.

If you are talking about you being able to handle 200 pages, some built-in
navigation functions in Word are Edit | Go To, Outline View, Document Map,
and Browse Object, to make it easier.

Unfortunately saving the file as webpage did not help. As I have read in the
link you sent me the problem is probably I am using a Master document (for
the first and certainly last time-it is a real nightmare to work with a
Master document).
I will try to recover it following the instructions in the article, but I do
not hope it will help much and it is quite a lot of work. Maybe I will make
it a single word document (it is about 200 pages) and hope to be able to
handle such a huge file.
