Great Charles, I finally had it worked. Now my question is:
How do I do to restart the numbering to 1?
I am going to send individualized template to other employees, will the
document be updated automatically when they open it?

A macro is visual basic for applications (vba).
The number should be updated each time you create a new purchase order, not
each time you look at an existing one, I suspect.

both and in VBA it doesn't do anything but my question is should I create

What is th easier way to do it? Should the P.O. number be pudated each
