Re: Updating same text in two places

There's no method that will let you update either place and have the other
update. You need to pick one as the 'primary' location -- and you can then
have any number of other locations showing the same text. A bookmark and REF
fields is probably the easiest method for you. A document property and
DocProperty fields is another possibility.

Is there a Word feature that allows for having the same text in two places
in a single document so that when you update the text in one place, Word
automatically (or through some keyboard update feature) updates the same
text in the other place - it's something like a linked cross-reference,
but I think it's more sophisticated.
