What more do you need to know? Do you not understand what these options do?
They are all well documented in Word's Help. If you click on the ? button in
the Format Paragraph dialog, you'll bring up the Help topic that explains
them.

Yes, thank you, I did read this prior to sending the query (I cut andpaste,
below). Is there another place to go to that would expound further on thea
issue?
Finally, you will sometimes see a small black bullet in the margin next to
paragraph. This indicates that the paragraph is formatted with the “Keepwith
next,” “Keep lines together,” “Page break before,” or “Suppress linenumbers”
property. These settings are found on the Line and Page Breaks tab of thewill
Format Paragraph dialog; if you double-click on the “bullet” itself, you
bring up this dialog with the Line and Page Breaks tab selected. Word'syou
built-in Heading styles by default are formatted as “Keep with next,” so
will always see these bullets next to them.you

In *most* cases you don't want to get rid of non-printing characters,
mean tosimply need to understand what they mean.

When you're in the show/hide mode, what do the small black squares
the right of text?
How do I get rid of them?
