Hi Oliver,
I still don't understand EXACTLY how this second document is created. "I
provide" can be just about anything... Do you mean you (and are you = "the
user"?) are copying, pasting and resizing the pictures? Or is something else
going on?
The template contains thumbnail photographs that are inserted by the user.
The number of photographs varies from report to report. These photographs
are inserted into a column which is part of a template generated in word.
Adjacent to each photograph is text that is entered into a seperate column.
The text varies from report to report. In a seperate file I provide a larger
version of the photograph underneath which is entered the same text. The
seperate file is generated purely on a cut and paste basis and edited to
suite.
I could use macro solution but have no knowledge of how this system works.
I may have to resort to another MS product if Word does not have such a
system.
