Just one document, or all? If all, you have to activate your purchased
version of Word. Help > Activate Product, or you need to purchase the
product because your trial version has expired.
Version of Word?

All of a sudden word won't let me type anything in my document. Did I
accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut to turn a certain lock function on?
How
can I turn it off?
