Re: Stop "FILENAME" from printing in header and footer via Autote

I didn't receive an email from you.
So... when you choose the Filename AutoText, you're getting
[]Filename[] { FILENAME }
Where I'm using [] to represent squares you mentioned.
Note that for some of the other AutoText entries, you're *supposed* to get
some text, too. For example, when you choose Created by, you should get:
Created by { AUTHOR }
I wonder if perhaps someone has modified your FILENAME AutoText entry. To
see, choose Insert - AutoText - AutoText.... Scroll the list to Filename.
What do you see in the preview window? Does it say Filename without field
braces? If so, then the text is actually part of the AutoText definition.
You can try replacing the built-in { FILENAME } AutoText entry:
1. Press Ctrl+F9 to insert field braces.
2. Type FILENAME between the braces.
3. Select the field, including the braces, but not including any trailing
spaces or paragraph marks that follow }.
4. Choose Insert - AutoText - AutoText. Scroll down to Filename, select that
entry, and click Add. Click Yes to confirm redefining the entry.
Now test and see if Filename from the AutoText menu gives you the expected
result.
