RE: Word 2003 hangs on save to Network


If the word document being uploaded is of large size this issue might occur. Delete the network map drive and create again. This might
help. Check the path if it is unusally long or has some special characters. Also, try disabling Norton Antivirus on the network.

If this doesn't helps then check if even Excel files hangs on saving to a network drive. Try saving a document from wordpad on the network
drive. Let me know the results of these.

The issue can also occur if the Word's view is set to Page layout view specially when you are using protected documents. Set the Word's
view to Normal View.

Check for spywares and other third party tools installed on your system.
