Multiple posts to separate groups are much more annoying than cross posting
because they result in a duplication of effort on the part of those who
respond to questions. Sensible cross posting to a limited number of groups
is unlikely to cause offence and even then only to a few pedants who you can
ignore. Widespread crossposting is spam and that will run you into deep
water.
