Hi =?Utf-8?B?Sm9obiBIYXJyaXM6TWFpbmU=?=,

I cannot verify this on my machine. I assume the font is installed on the
machine? What kind of font is it, and what font does Word substitute?

If you start up Word 2003 with a Normal.dot generated by Word 2003, are you able
to duplicate the problem in the new Word 2003 document? Because, assuming the
font is installed and is not damaged, then I'd have to guess that the documents
and/or templates coming forward from Word 97 may be damaged...
