We recently got some new system's which run XP Professional on them.

I added Office 2000 {some have office 2000 professional & some have small business}, both seem to have a problem when running word on all of our XP computer’s.

Almost every time I run word on any of our new systems it end's up freezing. I have noticed that it mostly causes a problem when I am saving or getting out of the program.

I don't seem to have any problems with any of the other office applications, only Word.

We have 15 machine's at my office. 8 are running windows 98 with office 2000 and we have no problems at all. 7 of them are new computer's with XP. I have tried the following while troubleshooting this problem:

        * Using the repair function through office
        * Uninstalling & Reinstalling
        * Installing in the beginning of the Machine set-up
        * Installing as one of the last programs during Machine set-up

These machine's are not all the same & none of them had any other type of word processing program installed. We bought them as bare-boned as they come.

All of the 98 machine's have the same programs running on them {XP machine actually have less programs installed}.

We don't actually run to many programs from the machines, most of our work now is done over the internet.

Has anyone seen this problem? Do we need to get a newer version of word?

I posted last week on this problem & the one reply I did get was not helpful what so ever.

If anyone has any more info on what I can do, please help!!!

Thank you.
